Hey, Want to Safely Uninstall Parrot OS Dual-Boot FROM UEFI, you have come to the right place.
FIRST LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT IS DUAL BOOT?
A dual boot system is a computer system in which 2-operating systems are installed on the same hard-drive, allowing 1 operating system to be loaded(Booted) and given control. When you Boot-up the computer, a boot loader(boot manager) program displays a boot menu, which allows you to choose 1 operating system you wish to Start. A Boot Manager(Grub)replaces the original Master Boot Record (MBR) with its own so that, the boot manager program loads instead of an OS. Popular boot manager programs are LILO, System-Commander, and Partition Magic, GRUB, Common combinations of OS used on dual-boot systems include Linux and Windows NT and Windows 10 with one install of Windows being in a different language. Since more than 2 operating systems can be installed on a computer, the term multi-boot system is sometimes used by experts
Alright, Let’s talk about what we are going to do to Uninstall Parrot OS Dual Boot from any PC.
FIRST OF ALL, we are going to identify all the Parrot Os(Or any Linux Linux) partitions on our Hard Drive then we will delete all LINUX partition One-By-One.
Finally, we will Remove Parrot OS(Or any Linux) BootLoader From EFI SYSTEM DIRECTORY to completely remove Parrot Os(Or any Linux Distro) from Your PC.
NOW LET’S BEGIN:
DELETE PARROT OS DUAL BOOT IN 2-EASY STEPS:
STEP 1: Find all Linux Partitions on Hard Drive and Delete them:
First of all, we have to open Windows Disk Management and analyse our Disk Partitions:
Press WIN+X and select Disk Management. Now it will display all the partitions on you Hard Disk.
Now, we have to distinguish which partitions belongs to PARROT OS(OR ANY LINUX)
HOW TO FIND IF A PARTITION BELONGS TO LINUX:
- First of all, check If the Partition has no Drive Letter (c: d: etc)
- Also, check that the partition size is more than 1GB.
- Finally, check that the partition is not NTFS Formatted.
If a partition satisfies all above mentioned properties, then it is a Linux partition. You can see in above Picture, Highlighted partitions don’t have a drive letter, also, they are not smaller than 1GB and most importantly they are not NTFS Formatted.
Now delete all partitions one by one. After deleting all partitions we have to merge the free space to any drive in order to use that free space.
